Josephine Wells – a yoga teacher in Great Mongeham, Deal, Kent, UK

Welcome, I am Josephine, the founder of Barefeet Yoga in Great Mongeham, Deal, Kent. Here is a little bit about my yoga journey so far and a bit about me beyond the yoga mat.
Attending Freestyle Fitness Yoga classes was the start of the yoga journey. Those first scared steps through a village hall to attend my first ever yoga class and leaving with a desire to know more.
This lead me to completing my Level 3 yoga diploma with Group X training. The focus was more fitness orientated which I loved, covering more of the anatomy and physiology side than the more traditional elements of yoga.
My training and practice has continued and as a Biomechanics Trainer I believe this has enhanced the way I teach and practice yoga.
Movement, breath and energy are key elements to many of my classes.
- I encourage you to become more aware of how the body moves, how the mechanics of the body can affect your health and wellbeing.
- I want you to enjoy moving freely, living a better quality of life and most importantly having fun doing so.
- My reward, seeing the positive changes in your movement and hearing your stories of what has changed for you.
The last few years has seen my own practice move towards the more traditional elements of yoga and I am now finding confidence in sharing this journey with you.
Yoga finds you when you are ready to accept, it doesn’t matter which path you choose to take.
When not teaching or practising yoga I spend time with my husband Paul and ninja cat Katsu. I love gardening and will easily spend the day pottering about the garden. I have moments of spontaneous living room dancing!
